The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) exam will begin today.
This year, a total number of 11,02,625 candidates will appear for the Class 10 exams and 5,14,965 students have registered for Class 12 (general stream) exams.
The class 10 students will appear for first language paper (English or Gujarati) while Class 12 (Commerce) students will be giving Accounts paper and Class 12 (Science) students will seat for Physics paper.
The candidates are required to carry their admit cards inside the examination centre, failing to which, they would not be allowed to sit for the exam.
Last year, around 18.75 lakh students had appeared for class 10 and class 12 examinations.
Class 10 (SSC) exam will continue till 23 March and the class 12 board exam will continue till 28 March 2018.
