The Investiture Ceremony at G. D. Goenka International School, Surat, was held on 19th April 2025 with great pride and enthusiasm. This significant event marked the formal appointment of the Student Council for the academic year 2025-26. Positions such as Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy, Deputy Head Girl, and four House Captains, Deputy Captains and Prefects were conferred upon the deserving students.
The prestigious event was graced by Shree Hitesh Joysar (Deputy Inspector General of Police, Surat Rural) who emphasized on being the writer of one’s own story and that failures can never stop a person if he is goal oriented and dedicated. Mr. Kamlesh Yagnik the eminent trustee member also advised the students council to be like the leader of birds who flap their wings and give directions to the young upcoming leaders. The Director Principal Mrs. Jayshree Choraria passed on a strong message of being devoted and keeping one’s own culture and to be humble with the post conferred on them. The Director Principal also stated that the formation of “W” by the student council not only stands for “WISDOM” but it also indicates “WE”. Mrs. Sejal Thakkar (Director – Operations), presented the student leaders with their official badges and motivated them to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity and pride.
The newly elected student council is expected to play a pivotal role in contributing positively to the school environment by balancing innovation, tradition, and responsibility. Being a council member is not just a title—it is an opportunity for students to recognize their strengths, identify areas for improvement, and grow into confident individuals.
The Investiture Ceremony instilled in them the belief that leadership is about serving with commitment, foresight, and compassion along with humility.
