New Delhi: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a revised examination calendar for the year 20925-26, announcing that it will conduct 20 major exams between June 2025 and March 2026. All exams will be held in computer-based mode. This new calendar reflects SSC’s increased focus on streamlining the recruitment process and addressing irregularities observed in recent years.
The first recruitment drive will begin in June 2025, starting with the exam for Selection Posts, followed by the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier-1 Examination, and then the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination. The notification for the CGL exam will be issued on June 19, with the exam scheduled to be held between August 13 and August 30.
The CHSL application notice is expected to be released in June 2021, with the exams to follow in September 2025. The Selection Post Exam is expected to be held in August, with the exact number of posts to be announced along with the official notification. Meanwhile, SSC is also considering changing the examination agency due to complaints of irregularities and inappropriate student behaviour noted during past tests. A warning has already been issued regarding these issues.
This revised schedule marks SSC’s biggest hiring plan, aiming to bring more transparency and efficiency into government job recruitment. All updates and notifications will be available on the official SSC website.
