Surat: This is a proud moment for Surat students and their parents, as two students have secured All India Ranks (AIR) in the top 100 in the NEET 2025 results declared on Saturday. Jenil Bhayani clinched AIR 6, while Maulik Bhalgamia earned AIR 71. Interestingly, both families migrated from Saurashtra years ago in search of better opportunities.
Appearing for the NEET for the first time, Jenil scored 680 out of 720. He had earlier secured 97.80% in Class XII CBSE from PP Savani School and has been preparing for the exam at the school’s Centre for Excellence. He also scored 111.25 out of 120 in the GUJCET.
The Jenil said that I had always wanted to pursue a career in medicine. I’ll pursue my undergraduate studies at AIIMS Delhi and later go for my master’s. He attributed his success to disciplined and focused study, as well as the inspiration he drew from his grandfather’s dream. It was his wish that I become a doctor, who would be the first doctor in his family.
His cousin, Jainam, also cleared NEET with 553 marks and hopes to secure admission to a government medical college. Jenil’s younger sister, Jiya, is in Class XI, and his brother Kunj is in Class VII. Their father, Vinod
Bhayni, a chemical engineer, now runs a real estate business, while his mother, Saguna, is a homemaker. The bhayani family is native to Otha village in Bhavnagar.
Maulik Bhalgamia secured 651 marks out of 720 in NEET and scored 113.75 out of 120 in GUJCET. He studies for 12 hours a day during the preparatory phase. Daily revision and discipline made who scored 90% in Class XII and is eligible for AIIMS and other top medical colleges. The student of Riverable Acadmecy, Maulik, received coaching from Allen Institute. His father, Dr Khimji Bhalgamia, is an anaesthetist, while his mother, Shital, is a homemaker. The family originally comes from Botad in Saurashtra.
