Surat, Gujarat – Auro University, in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Surat, hosted the 16th Tribal Youth Exchange Program on January 28, 2025. Initiated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the event brought together 220 tribal youth from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Orissa, accompanied by 20 CRPF personnel.
The event began with a traditional Guru Vandana ceremony, followed by welcome remarks from Dr. Priya Rajkumar. Hon. Provost Prof. Parimal Vyas emphasized preserving tribal identity while fostering social freedom and skill development. Ms. Juhi Khenger provided an overview of Auro University, and Ms. Veena Vaishy led a motivational session on “Overcoming Fear and Thriving in Life.”

Participants explored the campus, visited Sri Aurobindo Integral Life Centre, and enjoyed cultural performances, including a Nukkad Natak on mental health and a Garba dance. Mr. Sachin Sharma, District Youth Officer, presented a memento to Prof. Vyas on behalf of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan.
The program successfully fostered cultural exchange, educational awareness, and personal development among tribal youth, concluding with the distribution of informative materials and refreshments.
