Surat: A tragic incident in Surat has once again highlighted the need for increased awareness of mental health issues for students. At 11.30pm on November 30, Advaith Nair, a 20 year old third year computer science engineering student at SVNIT, committed suicide by jumping off the second floor of his hostel.
