Surat: The Vasishtha Group of Schools in Surat marked the declaration of Class X board results by the Gujarat State Education Board on Thursday with a dual celebration. Marking the nation’s triumph under ‘Operation Sindoor’, the mission carried out by Indian forces targeting terrorist hideouts in Pakistan in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the school hosted a special event combining academic achievement with patriotic tribute.
The students celebrated their excellent performance in the board exams, with 63 securing A1 grade and 115 earning A2 grade. Among the school toppers were Patel Prachi with 97.33% and a 99.91 percentile, followed by Buha Jensi and Singala Chintan, both scoring 97.00% and 99.87 percentile. Four other students shared the third rank with outstanding scores.

The auditorium at Shree Vasishtha Vidyalaya, Vav, witnessed heartfelt performances as students, paid tribute to the Indian Army’s bravery by dramatising the events of the Pahalgam attack, where 26 innocent tourists lost their lives at the hands of Pakistani terrorists. The heinous act sparked widespread outrage and sorrow across the nation. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian defence force undertook ‘’Operation Sindoor’ to destroy terrorist bases in Pakistan and bring justice to the victims by punishing the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack.
The event was conducted in two segments. The first half featured the tribute to ‘Operation Sindoor’, while the second part showcased a mock drill demonstrating how citizens and students should respond during a war-like situation between India and Pakistan. The session educated participants on the key precautionary steps to be taken in case of conflict.
Students expressed deep respect for the armed forces through dialogues, skits, and dance, winning the audience’s hearts with their stirring performances. A self-composed song by teacher Belaben added emotional depth to the programme. The school’s primary section head, Ashwin Karkar, provided detailed guidance to students on safety measures to be taken during wartime.
The school’s principal Mehul Vadodariya extended gratitude on behalf of students and citizens to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the armed forces. The event concluded with heartfelt congratulations and thanks from Chairman Ramnik Davariya, Directors Vijay and Ravi Davariya, Educational Advisor Dr. Paresh Savani, and Principal Mehul Vadodariya for organising the inspiring celebration.
