    In a remarkable display of athletic prowess, students from G.D. Goenka International School, Surat achieved outstanding success across multiple sporting events, showcasing their dedication and competitive spirit in chess, badminton, and athletics.

    At the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) championships, Yati Agarwal of class-VI demonstrated exceptional strategic thinking and mental acuity in chess and secured 2nd position, 1st position in International FIDE Rated tournament, 1st position in Asian School International Championship classical format, 2nd position in Asian School International Championship rapid format & Blitz format.

    The Khel Mahakumbh, one of Gujarat’s premier sporting events, saw G.D. Goenka students dominating the badminton courts. Lakshmi Vaidyan of class-VI exhibited remarkable skill and sportsmanship, securing top positions in both individual and team events, 2nd position in SGFI District level Badminton Championship & 1st position in YONEX Sunrise Gujarat State Badminton Championship singles & doubles.

    Khel Mahakumbh Athletic meet, GDGIS students’ Jiyansha Harshit Save of class-V secured 1st position in 50 mt & 100 mt race and Naksh Milankumar Shah secured 3rd position in standing broad jump.

    These achievements highlight the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals through a balanced approach to academics and sports under the guidance of Director Principal Mrs. Jayshree Choraria and Sports Director Mr. Ashish Singh.
