Students’ exceled in SGFI District Swimming Competition, Surat
Along with academic achievement, it is also necessary for a child to have his holistic
development. G.D.Goenka International School, Surat gives a platform to showcase the
talents of students in order to achieve further more and set a benchmark. These talents
definitely add laurels to the school.
Some of the uprising star of GDGIS swimming player:-
- Twisha Purohit of IX C got 2 nd position in 50 back, 3rd position in 100m back and 1st position in
200m back (selected for state). - Samaira Dalmia of VIII D got 2 nd position in 50m back and 3rd position in 50m free style,
(selected for state). - Tanvee Pandya of IX C got 1 st position in 50m free style, (selected for state).
- Adrika Goyal of V C got 3 rd position in 50m back stroke.
- Akshan Kedia of XII C got 3 rd position in 50m back stroke and 3rd position in 50m free style.
- Tatva Malavia of XI got 2 nd position in 50m breast stroke and 2nd position in 200m breast stroke.
(Selected for state).
This was held at Rustampura Swimming pool, Surat on 29 th July 2024.
This success was possible because of the unwavering guidance and support of our Director
Principal Mrs. Jayshree Choraria, Director Operations Ms. Sejal Thakkar & Sports
Coordinator Mr. Ashish Singh. Along with the training given by the swimming coaches Mr.
Lahor Singh., Mr. Rahul Meena & Ms. Shreyasi Chakraborty.
