Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Board declared the SSC exam results at 8 a.m. on May 8th on its website, gseb.org. 746,892 students appeared for the exams, with 620,592 qualifying to pass. Out of 78,613 students who attempted to reappear for the exams, 32.26 percent qualified to pass.
The exams were conducted in 989 centers in 87 zones, with 3203 examination centers having 31,397 exam halls.
To pass for the Gujarat Board SSC exam, students have to secure at least 33% in each subject. This year, the exams were held between February 27 to March 10.
Girls have outperformed boys in the exams with a 86.89 pass percentage as against 79.12 pass percentage for boys.
Based on medium of instruction, English Medium students saw a pass percentage of 92.58% while Gujarati medium students saw a pass percentage of 81.79% and Hindi Medium 76.47%
Basic Maths had the lowest pass percentage of 83.4% as against 99.45% for standard math.
Students from Gandhinagar had the highest pass percentage of 87.22 percent while Porbandar had the lowest passing percent at 74.57 percent.
1,389 schools have achieved 100 percent results while as many as 70 schools have seen a 0 percent result.
