Surat: The GSEB has started the distribution of Class 12th General Stream marksheet to the schools. The distribution began on Saturday, and as of now, 665 out of 668 schools in Surat have successfully collected the marksheets. Only three schools are remaining to collect their students’ marksheets.
Those remaining schools await to begin distributing the marksheets to students on Monday. However, the board has implemented additional safety and procedural measures this time. Before distributing marksheets, schools were required to obtain necessary approvals such as Fire NOC and other safety certifications. The GSEB gave this directive to ensure safety and compliance.
In parallel, the distribution of Class 10th marksheets has not yet begun, as confirmed by the DEO. The board has decided to distribute the Class 10th marksheets after the Class 12th marksheets are fully handed over. The DEO office is currently compiling information on how many schools have submitted the required Fire NOC certificates, which will determine the timeline for Class 10th marksheet distribution.
In summary, while Class 12th marksheet distribution is nearly complete in Surat with only 3 schools pending, the Class 10th process is on hold pending verification of safety clearances. The board is taking extra precautions to ensure all institutions meet safety standards before releasing academic documents.
