Ahmedabad: Just a week into the new academic year, Seventh Day School has seen a major change in management. A new principal has been appointed on the seventh day, and education authorities have approved transfers for 160 students.
For the past few days, many parents had submitted applications seeking transfers, citing concerns about the school’s functioning. Several parents also approached the District Education Officer (DEO). After reviewing the situation, the DEO cleared 160 transfers covering Classes 3 to 10.
Officials said more transfer requests may still come in. The school has submitted the documents and proofs sought by the DEO, and the department will continue to monitor the matter so that students’ studies are not disrupted.
School representatives said they are working to stabilise academics under the new leadership and address the issues raised by parents.
