Surat: The fee regulatory committee in Surat has issued a significant directive aimed at bringing transparency to the fee structures of non-grant-aid schools. According to this new rule, all such schools in the district are now required to disclose their fee details publicly. This disclosure must be made through both the school’s official website and notice board, ensuring easy access for parents and guardians.
The committee’s chairman has clearly stated in an official circular that all schools must strictly follow the guidelines issued by the committee regarding fee structures. Schools are required to list all types of fees, including admission fees, annual fees, and tuition fees, thereby eliminating any room for hidden or unapproved charges.
Additionally, the circular emphasised that schools must not charge any amount beyond the approved fee structure. If any institution is found to be violating this directive, the committee will initiate strict legal action against it.
The purpose of this directive is to safeguard the interests of parents by preventing arbitrary or exploitative fee practices and to ensure complete financial transparency in the education system. This move is expected to bring greater accountability to private educational institutions and ease the burden on parents by making fee-related information easily accessible and regulated.
