Surat: On Saturday, the Mukhyamantri Gyan Sadhana Merit Scholarship Exam was conducted across Surat district. Out of total of 33,494 registered students, only 27,918 appeared, while 5,576 students remained absent, resulting in an attendance rate of 83.53%. The district was strategically divided into three zones to ensure smooth examination procedures. A total of 138 exam centres were arranged, along with 7 backup centres prepared for any emergency scenarios.
The exam was conducted for students of class 8 from government and aided schools. Students were assigned different schools as their examination centres. To maintain peace and avoid chaos, the district administration, education department, and local authorities cooperated in organising the exam. To further ensure smooth management, police and other staff were deployed at all centres. The entire Surat city was divided as:
- Zone-1 with 51 centres
- Zone 2 with 41 centres
- Zone-3 with 46 centres
This exam was conducted just to show that the students gained more knowledge by taking this exam, and many of the students who have attended this exam means approx. 83.53% was the attendance rate. and this exam’s organizers are District Administration, Education Department, and Local Authorities and Full police and administrative support ensured peaceful conduct the exam this much support by them total 33,494 students have registered for this exam and approx. 27,918 students have appeared in this exam.
