GDGIS conducted a grand 12th Annual Sports Fiesta for Pre-Primary, Primary, Middle and Higher section.
The sports day began on 14 th December 2024 for the Higher section and 3rd January 2025 for Pre-primary section with the arrival of chief guest Mr. Smit R. Moradiya, National player in 10 mt Air Rifle Champion, Mrs. Jayshree Choraria the Director Principal of GDGIS and All Section Coordinator of GDGIS.
They witnessed the Grand opening ceremony, the torch ceremony, the oath taking ceremony. Chief guest Mr. Smit R. Moradiya motivated the students and Mrs. Jayshree Choraria motivated to the students with her speech and informed the students about the efforts of the School for the Upliftment of sports.
After her speech she declared the Sports Meet Open with balloon. The GDGIS starts preparing for its annual sports day one month prior to the event for pre-primary, primary, middle & higher sections are conducted. From PG to Grade – XI every student has got the opportunity to participate as well as physical activities and fun. The young Goenkans start competing at a very early age. A lot of enthusiasm is to be seen during the whole process of Annual Sports Day.
Students turn out in great numbers to witness this event. The highlights of this event were the triathlon & Mixed Relays. The events are planned very carefully keeping the safety and the fun aspect of sports in mind.
GDGIS Annual Sports Day 2024-25, Closing ceremony with primary section with students’ and parents on 18 th January 2025 and Unity house was the overall leading. Chief guest Mr. Viral Patel, District Sports Officer, Surat, Top management the Mrs. Jayshree Choraria the Director Principal of GDGIS and the Director Operations Ms Sejal Thakar along with section coordinator Presented the winners for both students’ & parents. The success of this event was assured by the meticulous planning by Sports Director Mr. Ashish Singh and his Sports team and the support of all the section
coordinator.
