Surat: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has announced that from the academic year 2025 onwards, all school-related records will be made available online in a digital format. This decision has been taken to modernize record-keeping and make essential data accessible to schools efficiently and securely. From now on, schools will be able to access their data by logging in to the Board’s official website using their index number and password. These records will be available for download and will include crucial academic details such as the number of students appearing for exams, subject-wise performance, the number of repeaters, and other analytical academic data.
This move is aimed at improving transparency and providing valuable insights into school performance. Previously, the school had to rely on physical documents or offline copies to keep a record of such records. This often led to data errors and delays. With this new digital system, records will be streamlined and continuously updated, helping schools to work more efficiently and make better decisions based on accurate data.
The education board has emphasized that this initiative will not only help schools maintain better records but will also aid the education department in tracking academic progress, understanding trends, and improving the quality of education overall. The availability of this data will also be beneficial for teachers and administrators to enhance the academic support system for students. Ultimately, this step is expected to reduce paperwork, prevent record manipulation, and bring greater accountability in the education system. This digital transformation will positively impact both schools and students across the state.
