Ahmedabad: The Right to Education admission process in Gujarat for the academic year 2025-26. Parents who were previously allocated a school that is now closed have the opportunity to reselect a new school of their choice on the Right to Education admission portal until June 4, 2025.

The education department has clarified that if a parent has chosen a school that is no longer operational or available, they will be allowed to select an alternative school with one additional preference, totalling up to 11 preferences instead of 10. This move is aimed at ensuring fair access to education and avoiding inconvenience to parents and students.

Parents facing any issues during this process have been asked to contact the dedicated helpline numbers provided by the department. This article also notes that this process is specifically for those who couldn’t secure admission due to the closure or unavailability of the school they had initially selected.

Officials have assured that transparency and accessibility are being prioritised and technical support is being made available to ensure a smooth re-selection process. The initiative reflects the state’s commitment to upholding children’s educational rights under the Right to Education Act, especially amid ongoing reforms and digital improvements in the education system.
